earth Riffs, rhythm, screaming horns and all that brass...the band chucked a whole lot of stoner into the melting pot and the result is amazing. And that HEAVY bass intro to Ghost Talk pulled out into a funky riff?? ohhhh damnnn this is good Favorite track: Ghost Talk.

tko54321 Nice and dark funk. "Long In The Tooth" is an even darker, smoother & more fun recording.

David Yvinec Fela Kuti with some stoner rock vibes, how can it get any better! This album has us travelling some uncharted territory. The raw sounding guitar in Old Engine Oil is reminiscent of the early Detroit rock sound. In other places, it appears as if some 70’s hard rock band is having an intercourse with a brass band. Ghost Talk feels like a caravan in the Arabian desert and Arcane Rambler will lead you on a jazzy space odyssey. And these are only a few pearls in this jewel of an album! Favorite track: Old Engine Oil.

about

As menacing and unhinged as ever, the pride of Staten Island is back with their fifth full-length offering, V. Raw and absent of the modern technological trappings, the Budos pick up where they left off with 2014’s Burnt Offering, and finds the Budos expanding on the brooding, fuzz-fueled riffs, whilst harkening back to the Ethiopian inspired rhythms and percussive proclivity that put Budos Band on the map.

Budos Band V is a collection of expertly crafted energizing guitar licks, syncopated percussion precision, vigorous horns, and validates that the band is in their most monumental form to date ... more
